In 2006, CHREP has mobilized 3 rural poor communities to educate them on hygiene and sanitation, topic discussed was home based hygiene as well as hand wash with soap after defecation in the Yendi District of the Northern Region.
CHREP also formed School- based hygiene volunteers and trained them in the communities to carried out hygiene and sanitation education and sensitization on hand washing in their respective communities. The target group for this project was women, school children, elders, chief and opinion leaders who can making policy and byelaws in the community to control sanitation and other hygiene practices in their communities . CHREP organized workshop for opinion leaders, women, youth, TBA’s license chemical sellers, community pharmacy assistance and other vulnerable in 5 communities in the Tamale metropolis for the use of the new drug its policies and the use of ITN’s and its treatment A facilitator training of Traditional Birth Attendance on safe delivery and traditional practices that are dangerous to pregnant women.
